Travis Tuthill

Travis Tuthill is currently serving in the US Navy Reserves. He joined in 2002 and was an active-duty Master at Arms (Navy Police) until 2008 when he then joined the reserves. Travis deployed to Bahrain and UAE in 2018 for a year, leaving behind his wife Amanda and their 2 boys, Ronan age 2 and Treyton age 3 months.

After his deployment Time On the Water contacted him and invited him to a Canadian fishing trip. Even though the pandemic shut down the Canadian border, the organization still found a way for all of us to get our trip! It may not have been Canada, but it was still a great trip up north and an awesome way to decompress!

After active duty in 2008 Travis became a Correctional officer at the Faribault State Prison. He took on many roles there from a Field Training Officer and Special Operation Response Team (SORT) member, to a Lead Self Defense instructor and worked as a decoy for K9 officers.

From Corrections Travis moved to the Department of Human Services and was promoted to a Special Investigator working out of St. Peter Mn.

Travis has a passion for everything outdoors. You can find him in his boat flipping for bass, in a duck blind with his dog Benni or bluff hunting whitetail in southeast MN. During winter months you can find Travis all over looking for places to ice fish, from the Mississippi to Devils lake ND. Travis always finds a way to enjoy the outdoors and loves to share his knowledge of it with others.
